As a young person growing up, Ricky found himself hanging around lots of adults where he developed his later understood passion for people. Ricky was brought up in the church and was very active at a young age.

At 17 Ricky accepted his calling into the Ministry and began to study with other ministers at the College of Biblical Study’s and other ministerial trainings in the church.

In early June of 2002 Ricky graduated High School and joined the Military (US Navy) where he experience places like, Great Lakes, Illinois; Atlantic Beach, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida and Annapolis Maryland before moving back to Houston. Ricky has a long 13-year work history in Administration, Program Development, and Executive Support. Ricky is committed to the development of people and more specifically the development of the LGBT community. Ricky has volunteered in different organization like Heart & Soul, The Truth Project, and has facilitated at The Men’s Gathering on topics like Baggage and the Five Love Languages. Ricky believes that culture is very important to the lively hood of not just the LGBT community, but to all communities. It is with this in mind that I envisioned Unify Houston Foundation, which is developed to be the network source for the LGBT community of Houston.

I’ve given myself the responsibility to make sure the community has foundation, resources, culture, and fun; all is vital to balance the community.

I cannot do this alone, so I will need your help and together we will unify Houston!
